Phew !

The work has now been completed, and those people who have visited the club since our opening night, will have noticed the transformation. The opening ceremony was officiated by the local actor John Henshaw on Friday 6th March, and was given the privilege of 'pulling' the first pint, although a very frothy one indeed !

There are too many people to mention who have made this possible, however the Committee is fully aware of those people concerned, and is eternally grateful for their efforts and time spent.

For those people who cannot remember the old setting, we have included some photographs of the work done. The remainder of the photographs were taken at the official opening night.

Scaffold tower being erected

Barry dismantling old shelving. The blur is the sheer speed of work being undertaken!

First part of the bar about to go.

Nearly gone !

Nowhere for Laurie to stand !

Ah ! the ladies looking a bit drab !

Now the gents know what the ladies toilets looked like !

All gone !

The newly launched 'Libs' budget airline ! "You are cleared for takeoff Barry"

Short break for the weary cleaning volunteers... Pity no beer available at this point !

A big help with the cleaning from one of the workmen when time was against us.

Poised for the rush

So that's how it is done !

What a jovial crew !

A few words from John Henshaw

John pulling the first official pint.

Blimey this is frothy !

Peepo !
